The HE Controls team continues to make significant progress towards the Preliminary Design Review with increased engagement from the team. This is also reflected in increased earned value reports. Efforts for the refreshed FY22 M&S cost estimates are still ongoing with most of the systems nearing completion. The team commenced with their preliminary design readiness review activities in preparation for the upcoming reviews. Design progress towards the Preliminary Design Review is on track with steady have presented their preliminary design for 4 out for the 7 L5 WBS: XPP instrument controls, MFX instrument controls, FEE and XRT area and Common components controls design. Pending the review report, the team is ready to start Final designs. Preliminary design activities for the other areas are on track with good engagement from the team. Activities for 3B reviews and drilldowns preparations have also startedare in progress.
