On Fedora

  1. dnf install krb5-workstation
  2. dnf copr enable jsbillings/openafs
  3. dnf install openafs openafs-client openafs-krb5

  4. copy krb6 and afs settings from SLAC

    1. copy krb5.conf from any slac linux server/workstation

    2. also copy /usr/vice/etc/* (text files only)

  5. systemctl start openafs-client.service

  6. systemctl enable openafs-client.service

  7. kinit

  8. aklog -d -c slac.stanford.edu -k SLAC.STANFORD.EDU
