Configuring the capture

All the configuration is done through a web interface, so IOTA needs to be connected to the network with port 3000 allowed.

Open a web browser in the same network as IOTA and go to the URL https://<IOTA IP address>:3000. Make sure to use https, otherwise, it will not work. If the browser complains about an invalid certificate, just choose the option to accept the risk and proceed.

The login name is admin and the default password is admin. Later on, we will change this.

On the left side of the screen, choose the menu Capture → Interface Configuration:

Make sure that the Firmware Mode is 10 G. If you are using IOTA to read messages from a mirrored port, check Span Mode. But if you are using it inline between the peers, make sure that Span Mode is unchecked. Beware that installing the IOTA inline and checking Span Mode will interrupt communications between peers.

Hit Save and follow the instructions if the unit wants to reboot.

Now in Capture → Capture Control, hit Start Capture at the bottom of the screen. This is the same as pressing the physical Capture button in the IOTA unit.

Users and Passwords

To change the default admin password, click the shark at the bottom left corner and select Preferences.

Select the Change Password tab. Use the same password that SLAC uses for the ATCA system.
