LCDD stands for "Linear Collider Detector Description". It is based on the GDML format, which it extends using built-in mechanisms of XML Schema. In addition to the features provided by GDML, LCDD provides definitions for identifiers, sensitive detectors and readouts, physics limits, regions, magnetic fields, and visualization parameters. The SLIC software package uses LCDD for its geometry input.
