Hi All,
We will have a beam line meeting Monday at 10am in the Group C conference room.
Agenda:
- Reports from the Readiness Review:
1) Overview - John, Stepan and Marco
We think it went quite well. We have preliminary report, nothing major, some minor comments. The final report will be available in two weeks. They were very impressed with collaboration efforts. Stepan, July 10th
2) Background from Beam gas interaction on residual gases in vacuum: Takashi
"There was one potential issue brought up by one of reviewers on the event rate from beam-gas interactions in the detached vertex search region. I believe John did back of the envelope estimate and came to the conclusion that it should not be a problemat our level of vacuum (10-5 torr). But will be good to look into this

in more detail. Stepan”  Takashi studied this come time ago - either at the meeting on Monday or a week from Monday he will show his old slides on the background from this source.

3) Schedules for beam and detector commissioning - Marco, Stepan and John
One thing we talked with John after the review is our plans of installation and the commissioning. We presented somewhat incoherent picture for beam line commissioning and installation. This more likely we have to discuss during the beamline meetings. Stepan
Marco showed lots of schedules for beam and detector commissioning.
They should be reviewed in the beamline meeting, so we can get a more uniofied view of the fall. John
- Neutron Shielding update - Takashi, Tim and Francois
The problem of neutron damage to the SVT readout boards ("mother boards") came up during the readiness review. From simulation, I am not sure it will be a problem, as Takashi and Tim indicated  during the review. We may be able to manufacture some of this new boron concrete which is effective in shielding low energy neutrons, but I do not know whether there is enough space for it. Francois
- Target work update: Clive and Marco
I don't believe there has been a designer to work on it yet. He's working on the alignment wires right now. So there's nothing to report on the target, as far as I know.    Clive
- Other?
