Hi All,
We will have a beam line meeting Monday at 10am in the Group C conference room.
Agenda:
- Update on beam line installation - François - no report since he couldn't come to the meeting
From Stepan 22 June 2014
At the link below you will find all the formal documentation for HPS.I will greatly appreciate your comments.http://www.jlab.org/Hall-B/run-web/RSAD is in review by Rad.Con.Regards, Stepan- Target discussion - see attachment. Target ladder drawing if possible. - Clive and Marco
Marco and Clive will prepare an engineering drawing for the target ladder. The four targets will be mounted on a holder with the 4micron tungsten foil at the bottom, above is the 8 micron tungsten, above that is the C12 target and at above that the CH2 target. Thickness of C12 and CH2 targets have similar radiation lengths to the 4 micron tungsten foil. HPS shift person will contact Accelerator Operations to turn off the beam when it is desired to move the target.
Target Operation Manual - (from Takashi)
- Procedure document “Recovery from Beam Trip procedures” - Takashi and Tim
work in progress with draft circulated before Thursday, 26 June 2014.
- Shielding on left side of beam to shield Silicon detector front end boards - Takashi and Pelle
Takashi reported on neutron shielding with a cartoon design mounted on a table on the beam left side. The minimum size is about 15 cm x 15 cm x 80 cm concrete, which is approximately 100 lbs. Support table had problems because it would be in the way during installation. Perhaps, the blocks can be mounted on the table connected to a magnet of off the ceiling.
