Agenda:

  1. Priority Items towards 2019 Pass0
    1. SVT flags to DB                          - Maurik
    2. Update on 2019 alignment          - PF (?)  Norman (?)
    3. Status of ECAL calibration          - Andrea (?) Nathan (?)
  2. Monte Carlo for 2019.
    1. Work around the XML schema verification (lcsim.org down)    - Jeremy (?) Norman (?)
      1. Can we get rid of that altogether?
    2. SVT Slim sensor readout                              - Tracking group
      1. Who can do this implementation.
    3. 2019 Trigger in MC status update.               - Tongtong
  3. Other status updates?
  4. AOB/Questions

Notes:

SVT Conditions:

Bias and Motor come from Mya.  The other two will come from DB.

Alignment:

Field off analysis - beam converge, but field off does not illuminate the first two sensors.
Plan is to use the machinery that Allesandra developed.
PF looked at GBL code - looked at improving the error propagation.

ECAL:

  1. Calibration started.
  2. Now using FEE runs with the special pre-scaling.
  3. One HV group with varying gain - will need to be addressed.
  4. Holly's tools dusted off, seems to be working, now getting enough statistics for the high-x region.

Pass 0 - Will probably be well less than 10%, more like 1%.

Monte Carlo:

  1. XML Schema:  We have a mechanism to use a local schema file. This needs to become part of hps-mc.
    1. Issue was a SLAC firewall issue which prevented the schema being accessed.
    2. Can we make the local schema file as a default?  Jeremy - thinks already does this, but Takashi's version wasn't working. Hasn't worked since 8th of Jan.
  2. hps-mc:  (Cameron)
    1. Stany (new post-doc) has a mad graph based SIMP generator that can be added to our production. This is a new configuration allowing MadGraph to make SIMPS.
      1. Need to check that this does not break anything.
  3. MC 2019 - Slim Sensors:
    1. Currently this is kludged. This needs to be looked into: what happens to the charge distribution. Would like to do something more proper than the kludge.
    2. Tim will look into this, deciding on what will be the best way to go.
    3. This only affect the readout step, so we can generate some 2019 MC data, and then run the readout later.

  4. hps-sim – ldmx-sw  == This needs to be hashed out at some later meeting.

  5. 2019 MC - Trigger Sim
    1. The basic model is done. PR is submitted for this.
    2. Next step - Needs to understand the Ecal raw converter driver better. (Ecal_online_raw_converter driver.)
      1. Nathan - raw converter does the same on MC and on data. The online one does additional reading pedestals and gains from data. This probably does not need to be changed. We do need something for the hodoscope.
    3. Estimated Time for MC readout for 2019 completion - estimate several weeks.

hpstr:

Cameron made changes to hpstr over Christmas break. Now 3 different "modes". This means that you can only have one "type" of processor per run.

Ported bump-hunter and some of Alec's code into hpstr.
