2019 Calibration and Alignment - Norman Graf

Notes:

Merging the 2019Master branch:

  • The current master branch will be brought up to fully functioning and made to pass all integration tests. Then a release is made of the current master. 
  • Jeremy will make some fixes to the SVT code on the 2019Master so that the (2016) integration tests run. Any additional immediate critical fixes should also be made on the 2019Master
  • The current "master" will be merged into the 2019Master and issues resolved.
  • The 2019Master is then merged back into master. That returns us to "normal" code development where branches are made from master and merged back into master.

 

Status of the Calibration code:

Ecal Calibrations
  • ECAL group will start with dedicated meetings next week.
  • INFN will be contributing to the calibrations.
  • Code is in reasonable shape, but it is not (yet) "push button" operation.
Hodoscope Calibrations
  • Gains have been created throughout the running period. There is some luminosity dependence.
    • Would take some work if run by run gains are needed.
  • Not a lot of code changes are needed.
SVT + Tracking
  • Tracking meetings have resumed.
  • Baselines and noise are in the DB.
  • Timing offsets needs a first pass through the data.
  • Bad channels will need to go into the DB.
  • Software is in reasonable shape for a first pass.
  • Needed:
    • Implement filters for SVT state: good event.
    • The low charge hit filtering needs to be revisited.
    • Issues that will affect tracking efficiency: APV's and FEB status, not in Mya for the entire run.
