EPICS status

Pelle reported that most features that we need are working. Instructions on how to run it is linked above. We should start using it immediately.

Data taking status

Ben reported that they have been working hard to debug some firmware issues the last few days. They have data coming through from hybrids but corrupted because of how the framing is done. Seems to be close and hopefully by the end of the day they will have data from 4 four hybrids on one FEB.

The next step is to run two FEB with four hybrids on each (one with old hybrids and one with new).

In the meantime we will start the rework adding a voltage protection diode and a beefier resistor to protect caps at power on/off. This will have to be done to all FEBs.

The final step is to mount all ten FEB on the spare plate (to avoid having to clean things before they are qualified to go into the the detector). We like to power and configure all of them and also readout data from as many as possible from the bench (limited by cables and hybrids).

Going forward our goal is to have all ten boards mounted on the final cold plate before the end of next week. Given that we need to clean them in addition to mount them it is fairly aggressive. However, if that is not met we will have a very busy last week trying to getting things assembled before holidays. We will keep close a eye on progress early next week to identify any slipping of this aggressive plan.

Sho reported that the interlock board have been ordered and will be here Wed. In the meantime he will work on the interlock code and the communication with the silicon chiller. Goal is to have things ready by the end of next week. Seems reasonable.

AOB

Ryan will decide if we need to have the 2nd cob sent from JLab in time for holiday break or not.
