Ecal vacuum chamber:
Box/Frame for Ecal: Frame needed January in France. Vendor being selected now. Six weeks to fabricate. Vacuum chamber needed by March. Al Odian: Calibrate crystals in tagged photon beam. Need to rotate if you do. Stepan: Don't think we will build rotating system. Need to establish working system with photon beam. Can put foils in photon beam by putting thicker target in for parasitic run for short periods.

Downstream vacuum connected to Ecal vacuum chamber. Oval shaped bellows can be manufactured by local vender. Removes problem of stress on Ecal vacuum chamber. Getting quotes now by Mike. Rest of downstream vacuum system is simple and Mike is making drawing.

Marco: Vacuum box upstream, changes made to drawings suggested by Jlab. Transition 1" plate with double o-ring designed, pre-mounted on vacuum box. Parasitic and electron flanges resolved. Tracker movement system. Quotes requested for vacuum chamber came in during meeting ($16,000 to fabricate includes feedthrough and everything, delivery in 10 weeks from signing contract). This means we will get it in February if contract out before Thanksgiving. Sign off with Jlab on phone will occur. Is upstream vacuum pipe not designed and can accommodate 1" holes for moving silicon trackers. Make large hole or machine afterward places for motion if movement mechanism not resolved soon.

John: Weekly meeting tomorrow: report on beam line. Valery will give update on Ecal.

We will have weekly beam line meetings until Thanksgiving week.
