1. EC Review Process for Upgrades.

Stepan gave a brief status report for the trigger/hodoscope. An Orsay designer is putting the finishing touches on the design of the hodoscope.  We should review the design when complete, before moving to construction. Ben estimates only a week of work is needed to modify the trigger. 16 channels of new FADC will be required, one for top and one for bottom. There are empty slots in the crates to accommodate the new FADCs.

Tim brought us up to date on the SVT upgrade. Layers 1-3 have been retrieved from JLAB and are at SLAC. Tim is working with a new designer and Sean Osier to begin engineering designs. Funding the sensors, courtesy of a Fellowship awarded to Miriam Diamond, has been complicated and is still underway. A Spanish firm, DNT, will begin design once funds arrive. The hybrid design is ready for layout, but being held up until L6 problems can be diagnosed.

After some discussion, we agreed that Stepan and Tim would provide the EC with revised schedules for the Positron Trigger and SVT Upgrades. EC will review progress every 1-2 months and can serve as a review board at critical junctures, e.g. as a final design review once engineering designs are complete. EC will invite Rafayel Paremuzyan to review the trigger and Tim the SVT upgrade.  We appreciate that the two projects are very different in scope, so can be handled somewhat differently.

2. Publishing Plans.

We tentatively agreed to the following goals for publishing in FY18:

1. 2015 Bump Hunt paper submitted by Dec. 2017.
2. SVT NIM paper ready to submit by Dec. 2017.
3. 2015 Vertex analysis note completed by March 2018
4. 2015 Bump and Vertex publication submitted by Summer 2018
5. Nathan proposes the content of the HPS NIM paper at the SLAC collaboration meeting

Our goals for FY19:

1. Analysis notes for the 2016 bump and 2016 vertex papers ready by Spring 2019
2. Submit publications for 2016 bump and 2016 vertex papers by Fall 2019
3. Decide a schedule for a possible 2016 SIMP search paper when it's clearer if such a paper is possible.

Both the analysis group and the EC should develop the necessary plans for meeting these schedule goals.

These include plans for MC generation, new recons, and new alignments, etc. EC should reconfirm that the
students presently assigned the 2016 papers are still intending to do those analyses.

Respectfully submitted,

John
