This is not intended to be a full manual on data processing with Athena (there are many more references that exist which will go over those details). Instead, this page is meant to address some issues that users frequently encounter, and offer tips to get around those issues. We hope to add more tips and tricks as issues arise.
Opening data in Athena:
If you are trying to open up data collected from an SSRL XAS beam line and are finding things are not working out, this section is for you!
There are SSRL plugins which need to be enabled in Athena for SSRL XAS beam line data types to be displayed correctly:

In Athena, click into the main drop down menu and select "Plugin registry"
From the registry, select all options beginning with "SSRL" - SSRLA, SSRLB, and SSRLmicro
