System Tests v14r8

System Tests Report Summary

Comparison to v14r7 shows differences for all tests that are consistent with changes to ACD recon. ACD tiles/ribbons in the GEM hitmap now have an enforced minimum value.

Changes

  • AcdDigi, AcdRecon, Event, RootIo, digiRootData – addresses JIRA ACD-10, aka ACD pile-up issue. Set minimum value for PHA to MIP conversion when GEM trigger bit is set.
  • LdfConverter – Use GemTileDataList to create ACD digis
  • ntupleWriterSvc – TChains/directory fixes and branch handling

ACD pile-up

ACD tiles and ribbons with the GEM trigger bit set get a minimum value. This must be set by the calibrations, but for the system tests, at least, it is currently 0.4 MIPS. The ACD Signal plots show the expected bump at 0.4 MIPS (shown below for the BkndMix test.

The ribbon signal plot shows a bump at the expected 0.4 MIPS, but it is very pronounced due to migrations from 0 MIPs (below for AllGamma). This is because the GEM trigger takes the OR of the PMTs associated with a ribbon. In other words, the trigger bit causes the MIPs for the dim end to be set to 0.4 as well.
