General tools for the science tools checkout
The tools in this category are dataSubselector, map_tools (which includes count_map, exposure_cube, exposure_map, and read_map), and st_graph. The latter was not developed specifically as a science tool but more as a testbed for the plotting classes, but its usefulness for science tools work is certainly worth evaluating.
