The "ana-2.n.n" series is the new-style psana1 (compatible with py3) release installed on the old /reg filesystem.

- pytools: fix conversion of pybytes to std::string, where it could terminate early if a null character was present
- Valerio has merged in the latest master branches and py3_cc branches into the py3 branches, so we now have py3 branch for new-style psana1 and master branch for old-style psana1.
