Introduction
SLAC provides wireless network access via the Visitor Network. This document describes its usage. You can use it to gain internet access for your laptop, smartphone, tablet. etc.
Using the SLAC Visitor Wireless Network
In order to use it, you must do the following:
- open a web browser
- you will be diverted to our registration portal
- enter some basic information about yourself (name, contact information)
- agree to the Information Resources Policy

Frequently Asked Questions
I do not seem able to surf the internet
Before you can use the SLAC Visitor network, you must register and agree to our usage policy via the web portal. All traffic (email etc.) will be blocked until this is done.
I cannot access my laptop from...?
All communication to your laptop, when on the visitor network, is blocked. i.e. if you are running RDP or SSH (server) on your laptop, it will not be possible to access them from elsewhere.
