• AG/LuAG would see >10X more photon density than chamber wall, but < 3X cross section, so heat deposition density is quite a bit higher in YAG/LuAG.
  • YAG/LuAG has about the same thermal conductivity/capacity compared to SST, so temperature will rise faster towards ‘melting’.
  • YAG/LuAG will be thin, less thermal path, T will go up even faster.
  • Their melting points are not too different, within 30% of each other.

So target will melt before chamber, and diffraction will stop much earlier than melting, by another factor of 10.
