Attendees: Marc, Alex, Eliazar,  Rebecca,  Corey, Eric, Elena, Joe

  • MFX + XPP mega schematic
  • ESD - start!
  • ICD - controls!
    • start talking with Maggie about rack space in diagnostic stands
  • Laser PRD coordination
    • Model -
      • transport line is now under raised floor — igor looking
      • interference with stand → stand needs revision; wait for info
      • raised laser table → no showstopper issues ?
        • maybe extra bracing down the line -
      • stay-clears for in-between laser table and diagnostic stand - interface is tricky
        • LSS safety system shutters are there
        • controls need access
    • Ongoing requirements negotiations/meetings
      • liquid phase chemistry stuff wasn't really captured → meeting on Monday with Tim VD/Roberto?
      • review of historical laser parameter requests
      • Tim was invited to last mtg. and explained his requirements
      • NO NEED FOR CHANGES. Written Agreement pending. (CC DF)
    • we are also ready to design laser out-coupling when laser team has details/requirements available
      • Does the detector situation matter? beam tube size? this geometry is important...
      • ideal hole diameter?
      • what is needed?
      • what is common ?
      • document on confluence and eventually in PRD
    • Resend Z location info to M. Greenberg - help him figure out divergence etc. which will let us know what hole diameter we need...
    • thermal issues (see below)
    • ICD? Did dileep start?
  • Facilities coordination - need to start discussing
    • When can we set up temp monitoring?
    • Detector Cooling
    • Room Temperature control - can we control temperature locally at/near MODS table? easier? - first we need requirements
      • +/- .1 deg stability target - what does "facilities" think of this?
      • where exactly is stability needed?
      • air flow rate?
      • think about cable runs and duct work - maybe we can add in next revision run
      • do we have data?  we have data at the exit window...moar data needed? can we turn temp sensor on? with data logger?
      • open air flow meter? should we do this?
      • environment around mirror systems need special consideration?
      • Joe also has some data (tyler johnson has designed some environmental sensor boards)
      • stability more important than accuracy of temp - can we control this operationally (letting things warm up and settle?)
      • timing impact
      • pointing impact
      • local control may not be possible → room data sheet?
        • get some data about current air handling system for a reference point
  • JJ zooms/visit (27th) - questions about sticky slits
  • Armin added LOC to functional diagram
  • Elena is working on device list/mechanical schematic
    • Alex will send us list of "old" names
      • HAPPI database
  • Radiation safety
    • air attenuation in XRT enough? Yiping.
  • Detector - current plan? 2M +140k
    • 2M in a 16M housing will end up costing ~$700k more than a 2M in 2M housing.
      • Angelo needs to spend exact numbers to Armin
    • Alex reached out to users/data people → 2M is probably not good enough
    • Meeting with Angelo last week
      • Angelo would like to be looped in on the plan as we inch forward
      • even if we have 2M in 16M housing, cost increase should be minimal
    • 4M minimum ~2angstrom resolution (but we need ~1.4)
    • with 8M ~1.6A
    • Number of modules shouldn't affect total depth
    • Hole diameter?
    • option: build an 16M shell with 4M modules?
      • Alex will talk to David
      • Angelo presentation?
      • Costs? Options?
    • 8M preferred - potential BCR (baseline change request)
      • 2M may not be sufficient for most science cases
    • Alex will create a summary of what we can achieve with each so we can do a cost/benefit analysis
      • cost from Angelo?
    • sparkpix better for smaller detector?
      • need to talk about this a bit more
    • Have we explored all funding sources?
    • Alex might chat with Angelo to discuss options (speed/Area tradeoffs)
  • No labels
