NDT is a Web100 based tool to faciliate network diagostics using real TCP streams to determine problems on both hosts and networks.

It is based on a client/server architecture from which a series of tests are performed to determine the throughput capabilty between the client and the server. Utiliting in-depth TCP instrumentation of the Linux kernel, thanks to the Web100 Project, important information regarding the tests are shown and analysed to present a simple breakdown of potential problems experienced during the test.

We have a NDT server installed at SLAC here. It will present a webpage from which a java NDT client applet can be run to conduct tests from which ever machine accesses the webpage to our SLAC server.
