Mike:
Wow! Many thanks. Batting ratio is 13 probably good hosts (8 countries), 11 non-responders, blocked or not where we think they are (Reunion) in 10 countries. Below I have annotated the sites with findings.

Jared, can you add Guinea-Bissau, Sierrra Leone, Seychelles, Mauritius, Liberia, Gambia, Swaziland, Djibouti hosts to PingER data base. The others either do not ping or are not where we think they are.

BTW Jared how are you coming on adding the missing European hosts (i.e. so we can meet Mike's assumptions (smile).

Makes complete sense scientifically, but for a so-called global index, the missing countries will want to see their own figures(sad)

>However it is probably pretty easy to add most of these pretty easily.
Great! i'll assume they're in(smile)

presence of data now is not as important as the fact that it is now being monitored and there will be data in the future..

Further it shows up as in China rather than Hong Kong when one selects a country. This could be changed depending on how one feels politically.
heh, we have to conform to the ITU list, regardless of my sentiments(sad)

Try these below let me know which of these don't work out and i can follow up with my contacts...i haven't checked they are actually in country, but have strong reason to believe so..unfortunately quite a few aren't pingable, but some other hosts in the same ip block might be..
