Herein lies the procedure to interface LICOS and AstroRT at SLAC:

  1. Log into Spectrum PC. Obtain the password from Jana, Gregg or Bryson
  2. Spectrum PC: Double-click the icon labeled "Glast AstroRT V2"
  3. Spectrum PC: Double-click the line in the info box "Spacecraft"
  4. Spectrum PC: Double click the line in the new info box "Spacecraft"
  5. Spectrum PC: From the "GLAST Main Menu" GUI, select the menu sequence:
    "Commanding" ? "Select/Send Command"
  6. Spectrum PC: Examine the "GLAST Main Menu" GUI, make sure that apIDs > 500 are appearing. If not, recable
  7. Spectrum PC: From the new "Command Selection" GUI, select the menu sequence:
    "TCP/IP" ? "Connect"
  8. Spectrum PC: From the "GLAST Main Menu" GUI, execute the menu sequence:
    "Application" ? "Science DAQ"
  9. Spectrum PC: From the new "LVDS DAQ Main" GUI, execute the menu sequence:
    "TCP/IP" ? "Connect"
  10. Spectrum PC: From the "GLAST Main Menu" GUI, execute the menu sequence:
    "Application" ? "LICOS I&T Server"
  11. Log into lat-balrog. Obtain an account from Jim or Bryson if needed.
  12. lat-balrog: Set up a workdir if needed. Copy configurations from ~panetta/Online/workdir if needed.
  13. lat-balrog: Start AstroRT Interface proxy:
    $ONLINE_ROOT/LICOS_ETC/start/astroRtIf.csh --astroConfig astroTest.cfg --vscConfig vsc.cfg
  14. Spectrum PC: Wait for <???> light on "LICOS CMD_Server" GUI to turn green.
  15. Spectrum PC: From the "LICOS CMD_Server" GUI, select the menu sequence:
    "Options" ? "OTCC Ready?" ? "Ready"
  16. lat-balrog: Start Telem and Diag proxies with --vscip pointing to localhost.
  17. lat-balrog: Start ScriptEngine with --server pointing to localhost
