We have reached a major milestone this week;  our test stand IOCs are now communication over FNET using the FCOM protocol. Congratulations to all of you for the successful work that has gotten us this far!

For the next two weeks of production testing:

  • Everyone needs to build their IOCs in production using the latest modules and RTEMS 4.9.3
  • Everyone needs to check on your DNS names and configure your production versions to use the correct addresses.
  • Monday morning (March 8) SCCS will reconfigure all the switches to implement the LCLSFNET network in production.
    • Charlie / Antonio, please email on Monday when the switch configurations are complete
  •  As was discussed in last week's meeting,  everyone must update/develop the operators EDM screens for their IOCs during these two weeks of testing.

After the two weeks are done:

  • We have permission to leave the BPM IOCs in the new switch configuration on LCLSFNET after our two weeks of testing
  • The Magnet and Controller IOCs will remain on LCLSFNET
  • RF IOCs must be switched back to the old configuration after the two weeks.
  • It is still undecided if the BLEN and BLD IOCs will be switched back - I will pursue this with the physicists over the next two weeks.
