"Button macros" - some way for a user to record and play back actions in the user interface. Useful so that complex user sequences can be automated.
Error logging. A consistent way of logging errors to a cmlog logger in code should be decided on and used throughout the system. Suggest Err.
The way one does scientific plots should be through a specialized package, that allows interactive analysis of the data so plotted without having to "export" to something like matlab.
Must be trivial to add an output to eLog - by selecting a special "printer" bound to eLog at teh very least.
