The Data Handling Group did not meet on 2007-02-23.

Oracle

  • Daniel Flath made contact (Thanks to Ian MacGregor) with Oracle IT Support about some of the Java stored procedure issues that have slowed down development and fixing a dead-lock issue recently.
  • Ian MacGregor is working with the Oracle group at Stanford Campus to get a direct account with Oracle Support for Daniel Flath so he can submit problem reports directly and get faster turn around when future problems arise.

Web

  • Tony Johnson and Max Turri have fixed some minor bugs introduced with the GLAST Commons web upgrades last week.

Data Server

  •  Igor Pavlin is working to introduce parallelization of skimmer jobs to the Data Server task.
    • Some collaboration is required with David Chamont to get this working more easily,
    • When complete, it will greatly improve the speed at which pruner and peeler requests are turned around

Pipeline

  • Tony Johnson has nearly finished adding the new variable querying tools requested by Warren Focke and Larry Wai to support L1 processing.
  • Daniel Flath has been refactoring the Pipeline and Data Catalog code to make dependencies and the build process less complicated.
  • Cluadia Levalley is making good progress on job submission at Lyon.  Still required are:
    • a bit more to do with submission / job-status monitoring (almost done)
    • setting up a Glast-Release at Lyon (to do)
    • sending output data back to SLAC (to do)
    • overall about 25% complete (after one week of work)
