System Tests Report Summary
This is a candidate for L1 production, and so the default comparison is made to v13r11p9 in the L1 branch.
A statistical comparison of v14r11 to v14r10 (the previous main branch release) exposes a large number of differences. The conclusion is that these changes are reasonably consistent with fluctuations in the generated events due to updates to the simulation code. Details of this comparison are mentioned below.
Changes
These are the previously accumulated changes for v14r10 compared to v13r11p9
- ACD ribbon attenuation, suppression fix, and pile-up fix
- Updates to the CAL code
- EbfWriter update with new job option ReqGemTrig
- Fix for duplicate events in merit
- Pass 6
- DFI 3-4-5 updates
These are the additional new changes for v14r11 compared to v13r11p9
- G4HadronSim, G4 Generator – Patch to the hadron sim to disable LPM effect
- AcdRecon, AcdDigi, AcdUtil – Updates for coherent noise, disabled by default
Details
Affected histograms are mostly those containing a large number of entries, e.g. Cal digi ADC's >100000 for 40000 events generated. Also, the tests containing events generating more hits/tracks are also more affected, e.g. BackGndMixDC2 and VerticalGamma300GeV.
Affected histograms include, for example, for the 300 GeV gammas, ACDADC, ACDMIPS, ACDMIPS_VETO, all the ACDPOCAREFS, CALADC and CALADC0 and the POS and NEG histos, CALEAVE, and CALLAYER, INTENERGYDEPCAL, POSENERGYDEP, POSMCTKRTRAY, POSMCTYPE, POSMCZ, TKRNUMTRACKS, TKRTOT, TKRTRKENERGY, TKRVTXNUMTRK, TKRVTXSTARTZ.
There do not seem to be any troubling systematic changes present.
