As threatened, we will meet next week via vrvs to prepare the ground for where to go with systests and how we arrive at a data diagnostics system.

I propose next Tuesday at 10:30 Pacific time. Is that a problem for anyone? I'd suggest (comments welcome!) an agenda like the following:

  • Eduardo et al - what do we want from data diagnostics; how to find the data in question (eg query on FSW config?); kinds of displays; kinds of data
  • Seth - any needs perceived already for quicklook/"Level 2 diagnostics"
  • Julie, Navid - how current backend of systests works (job submission; metadata extraction; perl, Root, RM connection)
  • Tony, Max - recap of functionality provided by systest web front end; what is possible.

The idea would be to pick up on this again at the core meeting in January...

and..

A reminder for Tuesday's meeting... There was a discussion with Eduardo et al and Tony et al for what sorts of data diagnostics might be needed.

Eduardo would really like to have some sort of diagnostics in place for the cosmic ray runs in January - plugged in to the pipeline. I think there is no other way than to extend (aka cobble together) the bits we have now.

So for the meeting - I think a couple of slides per person on what it would take to make the current system play for the cosmic rays; and (if) you have opinions on how we should do it right. I presume for Seth this is only the latter.
