Attendees

Anjum, Kashif, Les, Johari. Raja was unable to be present.

Workshop

We had a meeting with UNIMAS and UM on 11/15/2012. Background information can be found here and the minutes are also available. Kashif and Anjum hope to attend. We will probably meet in KL before going onto Kuching.

Johari says the invitations have been emailed to Anjum and Kashif. Have the been received - Update

Do we have an agenda for KL. Do we visit UM? Do we visit MYREN? - Nara/Johari

Any changes to the agenda. Do we want to share drafts as they get closer to completion?

UNIMAS monitoring host

UNIMAS is monitoring other Malaysian and Indonesian hosts outside the regular Beacons. There was a problem with not measuring the individual pings. This was caused by a change in the format of the ping response. This has been fixed in the master copy at SLAC (but not in the tarball) and UNIMAS.

There is a problem with the UNIMAS traceroute. It appears pinger.unimas.my is behind a NAT that is not passing the traceroute UDP probes. Any ideas Johari?

Johari can you add some extra Philippines EDU sites, the one you are monitoring seems anomalous. See http://www-wanmon.slac.stanford.edu/cgi-wrap/pingtable.pl?file=average_rtt&by=by-node&size=100&tick=daily&from=EDU.SLAC.STANFORD.N3&to=WORLD&ex=none&only=all&dataset=hep&percentage=any for examples.

SEECS

From Arshad: Rector has agreed to support one person visit to SLAC. Please select the best candidate. Arshad is away in either the UK or Korea. When he returns Anjum will get more information. It could be 6 months or a year, and will probably be Kashif. This should be settled by Nov 21, 2012. Did it get settled? Is an invitation needed

PingER at SLAC

I have fixed the web site providing script documentation. It is at http://www-iepm.slac.stanford.edu/pinger/scripttable.html. The problem was a failing web service.

I have extended ping_data_plot.pl to enable showing more days. I also fixed connectivity.pl to showw all todays data so far.

Future meeting time - Les

Next meeting Wednesday Dec 5th 8:00pm Pacific Daylight Time, Thursday Dec 6th 9:00pm Pakistan time.
