May 9, 2011 meeting minutes:

Need Project Management tool. Tim's project management tool is Mac version. Marco uses Microsoft project management tool. Maybe he can help?

Clive: YAG screen (thickness ~ 50 microns RL 2.5 cm) instead of wire scanner. Flip YAG screen in and out. Will it work at normal beam intensity. Beam spot may be intensity dependent. Need window and monitor. YAG saturates in center of Gaussian beam spot size may appear broader than actual. Needs design to get camera shielded and further away from beam. (port, lens) Better than wire scanner because two dimensional and fast to get position information. Diamond may be another choice for screen. Be oxide may be another option. Resolution may be adequate. Waiting for resources. By collaboration some definition of parameters for screen or wire. Motion can be done with mover through bellows with million cycles. Need much more than a million cycles for x-y motion (may be better than rotation) of target. Resources: Marco. Need more than one foil: other for calibration purpose.

Item 15: Simulation item. Ecal vac chamber: need to know where everything is located, need to move 3.5 inches?, entrance flange to analyzing magnet-location, need location of beam at different location-Maurik has some information now. Can Dieter help?

Upstream wire scanner stays at present location. Do we need another wire scanner downstream for resolving misalignment issues? There exist a screen on the faraday (40meter downstream at dump).

Beam halo counters: 1 pair after first chicane magnet. Need to finalize where things are.

Jefferson person will keep track of everything. Take present drawings and mark up with new requirements. Mike Zarecky is the designer. Enginner (Dave Kashy) will be responsible for beam line.

Maurizio: Showed Vy vs Vz with shield 1 and 2 giving factor three. We are too high by a factor of three now. Shield is lead. Photo blocker is tungsten-to protect calorimeter. Need to dump photos in hall. About 10 m downstream of calorimeter with walls in between.
