KES

First iteration, beam only

GAMMA1 (blue) and E320_TARGET (yellow)

  • Step 1: find beginning of the beam. Script: both total counts as a function of YAG_VERT position






  • Step 2: full horizontal scan. Script






  • Step 3: full vertical scan.






Second iteration: after laser was walked to the beam (

MO_MAG (yellow) + GAMMA1 (blue)

  • Step 1: a) move the YAG up until we start intercepting the electron beam (left). b) shutter the e-beam and then move the YAG further: find laser (small spot, very much attenuated; plot: peak intensity (after hot spots are removed and a 2x2 Gaussian filter has been applied)



  • Step 2: a) moved the YAG very much up and drove it in from the side: stopped once we start to intercept the electron beam b) shuttered the electron beam, moved the laser to the YAG c) verified with a horizontal scan where we intercept the laser.







EOS timing

  • We recovered the timing from yesterday






Collisions

  • We re-covered collisions at ~ 1251.7758. Gas Jet: 1252.4095 - 0.6485 (path difference) → 1251.761 (units: ns)
