Overview and General Resources

Welcome to the G4CMP confluence! G4CMP (Geant4 Condensed Matter Physics) is a Geant4-based package to handle low-energy (down to ~meV) physics processes within cryogenic condensed matter systems. It was originally developed to assist in modeling CDMS detectors, but can also be used to model other cryogenic devices such as superconducting qubits, MKIDs, etc. This confluence page is aimed at providing an orientation to those interested in using and/or developing the software.

If you are interested in joining the G4CMP developer's consortium to contribute to development of new features and access SLAC computing resources, refer to the Joining the G4CMP Consortium page. Otherwise, feel encouraged to browse any of the other links provided.

Citing G4CMP and Geant4

If you are publishing results which include the use of G4CMP and Geant4, both software packages should be cited appropriately (Geant4 requests all three papers be cited):

Getting Started with G4CMP: "Where do I begin?"

Documentation: "Where do I learn about the physics and/or code?"

Joining the G4CMP Developer's Consortium: "How can I contribute?"

G4CMP Developer's Consortium Resources: "I'm here on developer business!"

Auxiliary Tools: "How do I interface G4CMP with other simulation tools?"
