Discussion Topics for Future Meetings
Some of these topics have already been discussed, but need follow-up discussion. Some topics will not warrant a full meeting to themselves. In any case, here are some topics of interest, and everyone should feel free to add to this list.
- Subsystem Progress Reports; discuss status of specific subsystem development. We could identify issues that could benefit from additional people, tools or support.
- User Interaction; discuss current work on standard display characteristics, colours and buttons for operator interfaces.
- Naming Convention; talk about issues relating to naming EPICS PVs and all related equipment.
- Operations Environment; discuss topics relating to Network and Server configuration for Commissioning and Operations,
- Software Development; discuss improvements to our repository and development process.
- Static vs. Dynamic Libraries; discuss pros and cons of different linking strategies.
