Confluence is widely used by the CDMS collaboration, so if you are working on the experiment you need access to Confluence. There are two ways to get access to Confluence: via a SLAC cloud account (described below) or by linking a SLAC computer account to Confluence. For most people in the collaboration, a cloud account will be the right choice. If you do not have a SLAC computer account and don't plan on getting one:
If you do have a SLAC computer account:
Computing accounts are only needed if you are a SLAC employee or are a non-employee who needs to log in to SLAC computers. There is a non-trivial amount of overhead associated with obtaining a SLAC computer account, so please only request one if you know that your work in the collaboration will require it.
Register with SLUO (SLAC Users Organization)
To register, fill in the form located at https://oraweb4.slac.stanford.edu/apex/epnprod/f?p=134
Make sure to select CDMS under 'Experiment you will be working on.' On the second page, the current reference person is Rich Partridge.
When the registration is complete you will receive a SLAC ID (SID) number that is needed for requesting a computer account.
