Topics discussed will include strategies for deploying applications on an Infrastructure as a Service cloud.

He will cover topics like image management, platform options, as well as some sample workloads that can be run effectively on Nebula.

Vish Ishaya, Chief Technology Officer, Nebula

Vish Ishaya is a highly prolific developer who was a founding engineer and top contributor to the OpenStack project. Prior to taking the lead as Nebula's Chief Technology Officer, Vish was Nebula’s Director of Open Source. Vish was elected to four consecutive terms as the OpenStack Compute Project Technical Lead and is a current board member of the OpenStack Foundation.

Prior to joining Nebula he was a Principal Engineer with Rackspace Cloud Builders. He has also held positions as Senior Systems Engineer with Anso Labs and NASA Nebula Technical Lead during the creation of Nova, one of the founding OpenStack projects.

During the November 2010 OpenStack conference, Vish won an OpenStack award for his development and community efforts and was also elected to the first OpenStack Technical Committee where he has served consistently since.

In addition to his programming and systems skills, Vish has spent over a decade teaching--most recently classes in object oriented analysis and design.
