SUNCAT has a file sharing area at SLAC for all people with a SLAC unix account, using a simple drag-and-drop interface on Mac/Windows (on Unix you can "cp" or "scp" files to the afs directory described below). These are the instructions for the free "cyberduck" program, but other programs that support SFTP should work similarly.

The model is that each user will have read-write permissions for their own folder, and those folders will be read-only by other suncat users. The structure of files within your folder is up to you, but I suggest you have a "Talks" directory and a "Papers" directory at the top level.

For future connections, you can avoid all the above and click on the appropriate "bookmark" icon in cyberduck.

You can now drag-and-drop files from your mac/windows desktop to your shared folder and vice-versa.
