How to replace a camera

New Cameras

New cameras are in a plastic bin in the B244 back room.

Procedure

Replacing IPOTR1, IPOTR2, DSOTR

1. Align HeNe to beam marks on FrontView, IPOTR1, IPOTR2, and DSOTR.
           a. This can be done with IP area vented or under vacuum. Note that you will have to realign HeNe going from vacuum to vented and vice-versa.
2. Replace burned cameras with new cameras.
           a. IPOTR1/2 are Manta G-095B cameras. They can be replaced with Mako or Manta G-125B cameras. If Mako, you might need to adjust how the camera is mounted.
3. Verify alignment and focus.
           a. The HeNe should be in the center of the camera image.
           b. The “mark” position on the OTR foils should be clear and in focus. You may need to use a flashlight for illumination.
4. Note in the elog the serial numbers of the old cameras and the new cameras.

Reset Reboot Count

After the camera has been replaced, reset the reboot count to 0:
