Proto-DUNE: How to login into the RCEs at CERN

The RCEs was relocated to EHN1 on Jun 15, 2017.

The COB is hooked up to pddaq-gen03-daq0.cern.ch (10.73.136.16) via 10GbE inside CERN's private network.

Outsider must go through lxplus.cern.ch to access the RCEs.

X2Go (Under testing)

Installed on Aug 1, 2017 to see if it speeds up connection from U.S.

Download X2Go client from http://x2go.org.
Create a new session (see the screen capture below).
Choose "OPENBOX" for the "Session type". GNOME does NOT work.
On "Connection" tab, fine tune the connection speed, compression, and image quality according your connection speed.
Turn off sound on "Meida" tab.
Choose desired resolution, and connect using lxplus password.
Once login, an X-Windows with grey background pops up. Open terminal / other apps using mouse right click.
