h3. Motivation
We have different set of landmarks deployed all over the world, this map enables us to see them based on their location. There was a need to segregate different types of landmarks and identifying which ones are enabled and disabled.

Two XML files are used for getting node information. These XML files are created from a perl script at /afs/slac.stanford.edu/package/pinger/tulip/generateActiveNodes.pl
