Part 1 : M1+M2 alignment


  1. Block the laser.
  2. Go to laser room and rotate an ND2 filter in the filter wheel in.
  3. Park e-beam.
  4. Move the target mount into the field of view of the FrontView camera. This will be around 

    Motorposition
    Target mount horizontal-120 mm
    Target mount vertical-20 mm
  5. Flip front view blue glass filter IN (Beckhof → E:03 IN=IN )
  6. Release e-beam.
  7. Measure location of the beam. Write it down and use a line out. Don't take a new Beam mark.
  8. Park the e-beam
  9. Flip front view blue glass filter OUT
  10. Close laser iris
  11. Release the laser
  12. Use M1 to center hole on laser circle, use M2 to align to e-beam locationImage Added
  13. Confirm alignment with electron beam
  14. park e-beam, block laser
  15. Drive foil OUT



  16. Motorposition
    Target mount horizontal-150 mm
    Target mount vertical-20 mm
  17. Go to laser room and take out ND2 filter from filter wheel.
  18. E-beam and laser con now be released.



Part 2 : Fine-alignment with plasma glow gas jet

  1. Move gas jet to
