Follow this instructions if you need to add a network device to the FACET local network:
ALWAYS:
- Send an email to controls-network-admins@slacadmins@slac.stanford.edu explaining what you are trying to do. Specify if your device will use DHCP (preferred) or static IP and the location of the device (rack position)
- Wait for the confirmation. You will receive information about which switch/port to use.
- send email to namrata@slac namrata@slac.stanford.edu and tsummers@slac tsummers@slac.stanford.edu if you need to add this device to EPICS
- Wait for the pamm/downtime to connect your device to the network switch!
