Clearing messages: You can clear all messages from the view by selecting "Clear Messages" from the "Edit" menu. to delete specifi messages, select them as though you were going to copy them, then choose "Delete" from the "Edit" menu.
Retrieved Message Patterns
The Retrieved Messages filter dialog is in the top left hand corner of a message window. This dialog normally set to "No Filter," meaning that all messages are retrieved and displayed by the viewer. However, you can specify that only those messages conforming to some filter pattern are retrieved. The example below shows the filter for retrieving all the messages except those where the text contained "SIPMAIN". So, this is useful if you want to eliminate SIPMAIN related messages from your list, for instance if it had generated lots of messages in the period you were interested in and you want to ignore those.
