- make sure have git 2.2 or greater otherwise will get smudge errors when cloning lcls2-pcie-apps from slaclab
- clone https://github.com/slaclab/lcls2-pcie-apps. currently working on dsp system integration testing branch
- may have to
sudo sysctl -w vm.max_map_count=1262144
depending on error when running gui.py
