Krister asked if it wa possible to use PLC for stepper motor as well. According to Hovanes, it is possible to use PLC for the motors, and many do it, but interfacing with EPICS will not be as simple. Stepan also thought it would be the best to keep the OMS-based system for the HPS since there is not enough time for developing and testing a new system for HPS when we have a working system from CLAS.
