Emmanuel has tried brute force debugging, with print statements, to see where things are hanging up
two particular ruby files -- one is FredMainWindowsrb . He notes trouble in a ruby file: FredMainWindows.rb where it is hanging about not creating
wind a window before the parent window
also noticed winxp is one of the parameters passed Fred.rb. He also notes that there is a "winxp" parameter pass to the Fred.rb, and wonders if that would be causing trouble on linux.
