  • Collaboration meeting (Stepan)

Proposed dates Are May 29-31, 2.5-day meeting, with the main focus on the installation, calibration, and run plan, as well as first results from 2016 data.

Hodoscope assembly is complete, survey group feducialized scintillator plans relative to the flange. Cosmic tests will start end of this week. Two new multianode PMTs have been ordered.

  • Status f the SVT upgrade (Tim)

Most things are going very well with hybrids, loading them on chips, readout electronics, and mechanics, all looking really good. The main action now is dominated in understanding the sensors. Sensors have not been of high quality. They are out of specs in all three major parameters, slim edge, bias voltage, and a number of bad channels (pinholes). The situation is especially bad with the pinholes. The test module had a large overlap with reported pinholes specified by the manufacturer and found after the assembly of the test module. But two first modules had much more pinholes than what was reported by the manufacturer. Much work was into understanding this difference. Does not looks like it is due to our module production process.

Assembly and test of modules (~20) will continue. At this point, the only thing that can be done is to select the best modules at the end for L0. Most likely there will not be quality modules to replace L1.

  • Status of 2016 data processing (Rafo)

Processing of the full data set is done. Currently working to sort out failed jobs, ~5% of the total.
