Correction - the configurations mentioned are relevant to IOC hosts, not to DAQ hosts. For the latter, there is more investigation needed.

Upon rereading the source code snippets realized that the env variable is SLAC_AES_VER, not (as commented in the slack thread) SLAC_AES_VERSION.
Made the change, didn’t help. More on Tuesday.
