- Update on ECAL Readout code — Kyle
- The SLIC Replacement Project — Jeremy
- Quick project checking/update (time permitting) — All
- Questions? -- All
Notes:
1) Kyle - New Readout Code
- Goals:
- Make everything compatible with the new e+ trigger.
- Make it easier to do the machine learning by having the truth info more readily available.
- It's working. The output is the same as the previous version.
- The Logic of the code is not changed, but now there is a management driver that orchestrates the other drivers.
- The buffering is now done in the master driver, so that the timing will be correct if there are multiple detectors in a trigger.
- This way the timing does not depend on what the driver does, but on what the management driver does.
- Management driver tells the detector readout driver that there is a trigger, and those drivers will now send out the data.
- It seems to be working correctly.
- It needs a filter for beam background, to decide what to keep in the output.
- SVT Readout is not ported in, yet. The SVT readout needs to be updated as well so that the trigger works properly with the SVT.
- Discussion on the beam structure....
- Jeremy: What tests are available/added to make sure this is working.
- Is there some mechanism to check the output of one SLCIO file against another one? Then Kyle can write comparisons.
- SVT Readout code:
- Matt Solt: The readout code for the SVT has not been changed.
- Jeremy: There are some changes for the "dead silicon readout", perhaps that branch should be merged?
- Omar: Someone from the SVT group should be involved in this. Should know how the code works, and should know that any changes are OK.
- Omar volunteers Matt Solt.
- Kyle will present some details on this at the collaboration meeting.
