- Email cpo@slac.stanford.edu asking him to create a shared folder for you.
- Download/Install appropriate (mac/windows) version of cyberduck from http://cyberduck.ch
- For Mac: drag the downloaded file into your "Applications" folder
- For Windows: run the downloaded install executable, and use the default installation options
- Run After the above installation, run the application by double-clicking
- Click on "Open New Connection" on the top-left, then enter the following on the window that appears:
- Select "SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)" using the top drop-down menu
- Enter your SLAC UNIX username/password
- Click the "more options" item at the bottom of the window
- For "Path" use: /afs/slac/g/suncat/vol2/suncatshare
- Click connect
- After connecting, using the "action" drop-down menu at the top, select "New Bookmark". You only have to do this once, in order to remember the above settings.

For future connections, you can avoid all the above and click on the appropriate "bookmark" icon in cyberduck.
You can now drag-and-drop files from your mac/windows desktop to your shared folder and vice-versa.
