Login via ssh without password
- Generate a key on the remote server (default options, empty passphrase): smeuren@rhel6-64p $ ssh-keygen -t rsa
- On your local computer:
- mkdir ~/.ssh
- cat .ssh/id_rsa.pub | ssh smeuren@rhel6-64.slac.stanford.edu 'cat >> .ssh/authorized_keys'
- login without password
ssh with port tunnel
- [smeuren@fastx3 ~]$ ssh smeuren@mcclogin -Y -L 42000:e320pi:42000
