Imagine the world's largest air hockey table, you place a few pucks on the table, and hit them in random directions. They'll hit each other sometimes, but they're much more likely to hit the wall. And it's just as likely to bounce back into your own goal as it is to bounce into the opponent's goal. Now replace the flat of the table with the space inside a vacuum chamber, and replace the pucks with molecules; this is molecular flow: when a molecule is more likely to hit a chamber wall than it is to hit another molecule, and unlike viscous flow, there is no general directionality to the flow flow  (see figure above the air hockey table), unlike viscous flow.
