Check what you submitted in your beam time request (BTR). The info provided here is all beamline scientists have to prepare for your beamtime. If, in the time since you submitted your BTR, your experimental set-up or support requests have changed- its a good idea to update the beamline staff!

Send an email and let the beam line scientists know what your plan is. This is a really good way to start out any beam time, but especially if your experiments require special set-ups.

Beam line scientists are on-site at SSRL during weekdays only. Each beam line scientist is around for slightly different hours, but in general there will not be someone on site to change mono crystal sets or make changes at the beam line after (insert agreed upon time here) ____no crystal changes or sample changes will happen after 5pm. It's important that you plan any aspects of your run which require a beamline scientist for weekdays, and early enough in the day that this can be done before they go home.
